IN HOUSE RELAY GALA SAT 9TH APRIL
This gala was enjoyed by 115 children and their parents. For a few tinies it was their first competition. But they swam and enjoyed the spirit of the team. It was very hectic getting everyone where they were supposed to be at the right time, but it did help having coloured hats and face paints! Well done Joe and Dan for organising this gala.

SWIMMING FEES HELD FOR THE THIRD YEAR
For the third year in a row the committee is delighted to advise that the fees for being a member of KASC are to stay the same. This is due in no small part to the fact that all our helpers, including the coaches & teachers are volunteers, unlike many Clubs who have to pay their coach.

SPEEDO UPDATE
A decision by those up there has been made and WE HAVE BEEN PROMOTED TO THE PREMIER DIVISION. The final top three points tally in the final was Bridgend 291 Keynsham 279 , Thornbury 259. We go up with Bridgend to compete against the big guys like Millfield, Plymouth Leander, Cardiff and Kelly College, scary eh?. But what a fantastic achievement guys, little ole Keynsham up with all those giant squads and top swimmers in the country. We may not have bags of water time or profesional coaches, but we have great help from Bath Uni who give our top swimmers much more water time, land training and expertise. We have great swimmers at club level and brilliant support from their parents. It just shows what can be achieved if you want it bad enough. Well done guys, let the work begin!!Thea and Lynne

KEYNSHAM A 219POOLE 177
BRISTOL NORTH 170
BACKWELL 88
KEYNSHAM B 70
Good result guys for the 1st gala of 2005. I must admit I spent a stressful week trying to get the teams together as one after another of you either injured yourselves(Ewan-football, Mikayla-turning,don't ask! and Emma C-press ups we think!!) or had been or was poorly.
Still, it came together on the night and we took the Roman Glass Trophy for another year. Well done kids,(and dads!!) Thea
