Bazuka National Swimming Championships in Sheffield

Well done to Viv Locket, Jess Baker, Charlotte Ollis-Olds and Steph Carnel who competed in the Bazuka National Swimming Championships in Sheffield on the weekend for Chandag Junior School. The competition was very tough (these were the best teams in the country) and the girls managed to beat their qualifying time and achieve a PB of 1.04.14 in the Freestyle Team.

This time got them into the 'B' final where they battled to 7th place, one place better than they were seeded, the girls were very consistent and managed to get 1.04.14 in the final as well!

A special mention needs to go to Milly Ollis-Olds and Mady Parish who were reserves for the event and our representatives for the National Bazuka Division 5 Parade. In your smart T-shirts and wearing big smiles you made Chandag and Keynsham look GREAT!

It was a great weekend, even if we have never been that hot before. It all ran smoothly thanks to Helens planning (and yelling!). Thank you to all the support and everyone who made the trip up there the girls couldn’t have done it without you (this includes you as well Lynne), as always we were the loudest, especially Rory's 'clacker'.

Well done girls, you did us proud!

KEYNSHAM 157

Great results guys, apart from having a team of open swimmers worst for wear after celebrating Dan's birthday the night before!! But they all swam their races with no complaints and in a fairly straight line!

£10 is winging it's way towards Mike Oram and Sam Dawkins who both broke the minute in their 100 Free races. Well done lads.
