A Keynsham Team attended this gala the same night as the speedo and had a very good 3rd place. Everyone enjoyed this fun gala, thanks to the parents for getting your children there.
We only had 2 males over 13yrs available, so a very well done to Stuart and Derrick (Masters and Dads) for doing so many races, although I hear the lifeguards were a bit worried when Stuart took a minute to come up after struggling in the T shirt race! Thanks must also go to Lynn Lockett, Gill, Marion, Barbara and John for Team Managing etc. Also well done to the older swimmers for helping with the younger guys.

1ST ROUND CLUB CHAMPS 5TH NOV
At the beginning of the evening we said a fond goodbye to Sue Coventry as she moves to Bedford to be with her daughter Jo an ex Keynsham National Swimmer who is expecting her 1st baby. Sue has been with Keynsham swimming club since Jo was 6yrs old (27yrs), and has played a vital part in the running of the Club in numerous roles. We will all miss her dreadfully but she will be popping back though and helping out whenever she can.
Now to the swimming.

Joe Beament attended the National Masters in Sheffield on the weekend of the 28th/30th Oct. He did some good p.bs and with his Worcester Team mates they won Gold in the 200 Free relay and are now the National Champions of their age group. All the lads did 24's in their splits. 50 Teams competed from all over the Country so A great result.
Mike Oram attended the National Schools in Manchester and won the 100 Fly in a time of 1.02.78. He now has his 14yr National Time for next year. What a brill swim, well done Mike.
Club Championship Trophies
Well, it's nearly that time again... the Club Champs are nearly upon us with the first round on Nov 5th.
Just a gentle reminder for people to start returning the trophies that were won last year.
Please can you ensure they are given a bit of a clean before you return them. Ten minutes with a duster and some polish would be very helpful and saves one of us taking a few days to do all the 60+ trophies.
Thanks, and good luck to all that have entered!
