Well done to the 12yr and younger bristol based swimmers who have broken the record for the youngest team to swim the channel. James Elmer who swims for Keynsham was part of the team that swam for about 14 hours and achieved the swim on the 3rd Sept. Rosalind Cranham was a reserve. Both swimmers have been training for this event for 2 years. What a brilliant commitment and achievement.

Gala & Events Calendar 2008

The gala and event schedule for 2008 has been up on the notice board for some time and was handed out with a recent letter.

It has also now been updated on this website. Take a look at the updated gala and events calendar.

There may be galas added and removed as the year rolls on.

Please note: Open meets specified in the KASC gala calendar are meets which we attend as a club.

Any swimmer wishing to attend an Open Meet outside our regular schedule should firstly talk to their coach about the meet and will also require the signature of KASC Gala Secretary (Lynne Bartlett) on their entry forms. If the Open Meet clashes with a KASC gala, you will be expected to swim for your club.

Happy swimming everyone

Tom Bartlett , 31st Jan 08
