WORLD RECORD FOR YOUNGEST CHANNEL SWIMMERS

Well done to the 12yr and younger bristol based swimmers who have broken the record for the youngest team to swim the channel. James Elmer who swims for Keynsham was part of the team that swam for about 14 hours and achieved the swim on the 3rd Sept. Rosalind Cranham was a reserve. Both swimmers have been training for this event for 2 years. What a brilliant commitment and achievement.

CLUB CHAMPS 17TH NOV

The last round of the club champs got off to a great start with Keynsham Seals Disabled swimming club enthusiaticaly racing the 1st event.

Again lots of very close finishes and lots of P.B's achieved by our swimmers. Little Katie Parfitt swam brilliantly to take both her 8yr old age group events' records. First to go was one of our oldest held records (26yrs old in fact!) Katie won this 25 metre breast in 22.73. Later she then smashed the 25 metre fly swim in a time of 19.37, fab swimming. Lots of very near record taking, but the records now are so tough to get.

A challenge was made by the coaches to 2 members of the commitee to be carried out at the Xmas Disco!!!

The "Clowns" finished the swimming races in tradionally manner!! Well done Dan, Simon, Joe, Caroline, Tom and Tom for organising this and giving everyone your usual mad entertainment!

Thanks to all the officials and helpers for their commitment and time.

It was then great to see 100 plus swimmers and their families enjoying a drink or two at Frys. Keynsham swimming club are very proud to have such great kids and families, thankyou everyone for your support for making the club champs such a great success..

A Blast from the past...

Remember this...?

Last year the KASC Committee threw down the gauntlet and challenged the Coaches to a 'Dirty-Dance-off'.

The Coaches rose to the challenge and anyone that attended the monumental event will agree it was a resounding success!

Well it's nearly time for payback...the Coaches will be announcing the new challenge in answer to last year's phenomenal dancing!

Remember, we sold out for the Xmas disco last year, so make sure you're not disappointed this year and get your tickets early.

More details to come soon from Dan.

CLUB CHAMPS WEDS 14TH NOV

The 2nd round of the club champs is for the 200 Frees and Ind Medley swims. There were some extremely close finishes in some of these races. It was also great to have some of "ye oldie masters" competing!

Abbi Lacey got the record of the night in the 8/9yrs 200 Free in a new time of 2.58.39, well done Abbi. A swim by little Rebecca  Crabbe showed what it was all about. Rebecca was against tough competition and finished a couple of lengths behind the others. But she finished hard and with a big grin on her face, great stuff!

The last round is on Sat 17th Nov warm up 5pm.
