Keynsham swimming club is a competetive club near Bath and Bristol, in Somerset, UK.

We are memebers of the British Amateur Swimming Association(ASA) and Western Counties Amateur Swimming Association(ASA).

The club competes in many arenas and has swimmers in such competitions as the Speedo League, Southern Junior League, Western Counties Championships, Somerset County Championships, British National Championships and many more.

We compete against clubs mostly from the South West such as Millfield, Weston-Super-Mare, Cardif, Soundwell, Bristol Penguins, Bristol Henleaze, Bristol North swimming clubs and many more.

BRISTOL HALF MARATHON 5TH SEPT

Well done to the Keynsham team of  Eve Lockett, Abbie Bidgood, Joe and Sam Beament. All ran brilliantly to raise money for Access Sport. Thanks to all those that sponsored them. Well done Team.

WORLD RECORD FOR YOUNGEST CHANNEL SWIMMERS

Well done to the 12yr and younger bristol based swimmers who have broken the record for the youngest team to swim the channel. James Elmer who swims for Keynsham was part of the team that swam for about 14 hours and achieved the swim on the 3rd Sept. Rosalind Cranham was a reserve. Both swimmers have been training for this event for 2 years. What a brilliant commitment and achievement.

Well done to all our swimmers that traveled to Plymouth for this extremley tough round of the Premier Speedo League. At the last round West Wilts beat us by 44 points. This time we had a stronger team (although still 4 swimmers that were recovering from illness!). So I challenged the team to beat West Wilts and chips would be on the club! Wow guys! so near, only 5 points off, great team spirit. Look out for my next "chip challenge" at the last round! 

4 1sts this time, so an extra well done to Rich Webb, 1st in the Open 200 I.M and 100 Breast. Erin Jeffery in the open 200 I. M and great swimming also from Emily Pocock 1st in the 11yrs 50 Breast.

Last round is on the 8th Dec. The list will  be on the board, please tick asap, with the final team confimed after last round of club champs.

CLUB CHAMPS WEDS 14TH NOV

Please note that there will be NO training on  Weds 14th Nov as it is the 2nd round of club champs. Also training is cancelled on Fri 30th Nov as it is the Keynsham victorian evening.

CLEVEDON SPLASH AND DASH 28TH OCT

Well done to Harri Elmer who won this biathlon in the 13/14yrs category and little brother James who came 4th in the 9/10yrs category.

CLUB CHAMPS 3RD NOV

Over 100 swimmers have entered this year's club champs and the 1st round took place on Sat 3rd Nov. The awards for the year started the evening off. Achievement for 13yrs and over went to Erin Jeffery and Rich Webb. Achievement for the 12 and unders went to Loren Bleaken, Siobhan O'Connor and Joss Bennett. Most improved junior swimmers went to Paige Matthews and Ollie Press. The Endeavour awards for the Seniors were won by Alex Lawrie and Zoe Self. The coaches award went to Mike Oram and The clubman award went To Ted Francis. Our National Swimmers were also presented with awards, these were Loren, Siobhan, Joss, Rich, Erin, Mike, Simon Rex and Krissy Brown. A very well done to these swimmers for their achievements over the past year.

6 records were broken in this 1st round which is excellent as the standard now is extremely high. So congrats to the following.

Rich Webb broke the 50 breast sprint in a time of 30.03, and the 14yrs and over fly in a time of 58.21.

Simon Rex Broke the 14yrs plus 100 Back in a time of 1.00.60, also the Back 50 sprint in 28.76.

Little Katie Parfitt broke the 8 and under 25 Free in a time of 17.79.

Erin Jeffery broke the 50 Back sprint in a time of 33.16.

Loads of P.B's achieved by many swimmers, well done.

The next round is on Weds 14th Nov warm up 7pm. (I.m's and 200's)
