Keynsham swimming club is a competetive club near Bath and Bristol, in Somerset, UK.

We are memebers of the British Amateur Swimming Association(ASA) and Western Counties Amateur Swimming Association(ASA).

The club competes in many arenas and has swimmers in such competitions as the Speedo League, Southern Junior League, Western Counties Championships, Somerset County Championships, British National Championships and many more.

We compete against clubs mostly from the South West such as Millfield, Weston-Super-Mare, Cardif, Soundwell, Bristol Penguins, Bristol Henleaze, Bristol North swimming clubs and many more.

BRISTOL HALF MARATHON 5TH SEPT

Well done to the Keynsham team of  Eve Lockett, Abbie Bidgood, Joe and Sam Beament. All ran brilliantly to raise money for Access Sport. Thanks to all those that sponsored them. Well done Team.

SOMERSET DEVELOPMENT MEET 2/3RD OCT

This meet which is held at Hutton Moor, Weston Super Mare is a great competition for those that are going for county times. All Gold squad members that have not entered the Bristol Norths should be entering this please. Also all Junior and Senior squad swimmers this is great for you too. Entries have to be in by this Monday 12th Sept.

Lynne Wins Aquaforce Volunteer Award - Outstanding Contribution at Club Level

 

I'm delighted to let you know that our Junior Squad Coach - Lynne Bartlett - has been awarded  the "Aquaforce Volunteer Award  2009 for Outstanding Contribution at Club Level". This is a fantastic achievement for Lynne as  all swimming clubs in the South West are included in the  award. This is also a great achievement for KASC as it is the second year in a row one of our coaching team has won; Thea Beament won the same award in 2008. Well done Lynne.

BERNIE NICOL OPEN MEET 4TH - 6TH DECEMBER

An Open Meet is being held at Bath University 4th to 6th December in memory of Bernie Nicol a dedicated coach for many years who sadly passed away last year. The event is open to all ages & abilities and is being organised by the new TEAMBath squad. KASC is looking to send a big team. Please see Rachel Radford or Bet for details and entry forms. The closing date is 6th November.
